Before God entered in and intervened, I thought I lived my life normally—like many other people. I lived my life the way that I wanted to live it. I decided what was right or wrong based on my own belief system—my own moral code. I did not answer to anyone, except...

by Susan McCeldry | Oct 20, 2022 | Bible, Christian, election, faith, free will, God, God's will, Jesus, new age, salvation

Believe it or not, not all Christians agree on how they came to faith in Christ. Some believe it was their complete free will choice and decision with no intercession from God. Others believe that their coming to faith was the sovereign supernatural calling of God....

Belief in Jesus: How I Learned the Difference Between Believing in the Existence of Jesus and Knowing Jesus

by Susan McCeldry | Aug 24, 2022 | Uncategorized

For as long as I can remember I have believed in the existence of Jesus. Because of that belief, I considered myself a Christian. As an adult I spent many years going to church regularly and was very involved volunteering in the church and school. Because of my desire...

Marriage: How I Was Able to Honor Male Headship

by Susan McCeldry | Aug 10, 2022 | Uncategorized

If we do not apply God’s Biblical word to our marriages, we will be buried deep in anger, disappointment, resentment and a fight for rightness and control. If I had only wanted to know this, or how God could even be the center of my marriage, years of strife may have...

Aloneness: How God Can Use Our Biggest Fears and Sufferings to Save Us

by Susan McCeldry | Aug 3, 2022 | Uncategorized

For most of my life I was restless and searching for fulfillment. In other words, lacking completeness. My happiest moments during my young adult life were when I had a boyfriend. I could see how unhappy I was when I did not have a boyfriend, but did not see God, or...

Finding Contentment in Being Created in the Image of God

by Susan McCeldry | Jul 27, 2022 | Uncategorized

Before I became a Christian I hated just about everything about myself. I hated my hair, my nose, my lips, my hands, my voice and my fingernails, to name a few. I even hated the gifts God had given me by wishing for the gifts I did not have. I wished I could sing...
